It seems that Julie's Sicklyallergies are turning into a cold. Julie is trying to keep the cold confined to her head because if it gets into the chest area, there is concern of infection. =( She walked Wakka Wakka45 minutes today...can you guess the rest of the story? When Julie got back home, she realized that she OVERDID it! Thumbs Down (I think we should limit you to 20 minutes Julie.) Right...that's real likely. The doctor will probably need to drain the tubes tomorrow, as there is still fluid building up. There is a small area that is accumulating drainage in one side, which is probably caused by tissue clogging the area. (Julie hopes that the doc can drain it tomorrow at her appointment.) She is COOOOOLD Tongue in LA...brrrr. But her remedy to that one is to sit in sunny rooms, and curl up with warm blankets. Rest up, dear Julie. We want to see you back home in a jiffy to brighten our day with your sweet smile again. Girl 6Love you! Get better. Debbi and all of your friends and family here in the desert.

Okay Julie,
I hope you read this. I think your walking is really great. It's very good for you. I agree with Debbie, however, that maybe you should limit your walks to 20 minutes. If this is truly a cold, your body is now working double time: healing from surgery & chemo and fighting a virus. Don't stress it out by walking too much right now. When your cold is over - then resume your marathon. Your body is very active - even when you're sitting. I just don't want you to end up in the hospital with pneumonia or something!! Okay - end of lecture. I pray for healing, patience and peace.

Yes Julie, please realize that you are a go getter but your body needs to recoup from all it's going through...kick back in that sunny warm room with a good book, your feet up, and rest. Be still.

It's a long race, and pacing yourself is key to to a strong finish, ask any long distance athlete; your race is no different.

Here are some sports analogies, I know you like those. Boxing: plan on the match being long, don't use all your energy trying to knock-out your opponent right away, stalk and study, find out their weaknesses, use your energy to get the best results, get to the end of the round, bell rings. In your corner, rest and listen to your coach, they can see things you don't. Bell rings, come out study and stalk, don't do anything stupid. Carefully choose your moves, let them get tired. Get to the end of the round. Rest and listen. Bell rings, watch out, your opponent wants to take you out-and they can-don't do anything stupid, study and stalk. Repeat this until the ref raises your arm after the other guy is on the canvas, looking up not knowing what day it is. Victory is yours, but remember, stalk and study & don't do anything stupid. -Skip
