The basket
Hi all,
My Principal Jean Caroll brought by a basket that my colleagues at JGMS put together for me. It was great. Some jammies from Target, christmas-y candles, and a wreath (which my front door was sorely needing). Plus the banner that they used to chart, using a thermometer, the number of days that people had donated in order for me to be able to recouperate for the rest of the school year. It is just amazing. Especially just to see it and have it be a reminder of the wonderful, huge, overwhelming love and support from my colleagues and friends not only at JGMS but across the district. It still is just an amazing Christmas gift. And then for them to give me a basket on top of this was just WOW. I feel so loved. They had included a DVD of various staff members and their merry christmas messages and it was so great to see everyone. I cracked up and got a kick out of seeing everyone. I really enjoyed it, so thanks for putting that together. Jay Harper's vignette was really funny.
Jean got to see my super short hair that is slowly finding its way back in. I still have my great wig that I wear but pretty soon instead of wearing a do rag wherever I go I'll just go au naturel. I almost feel comfortable enough to do that other than it feeling so bare that it's nice to have something else on my head to keep it warm.
Well, the celebration of Christ's birth is upon us and it's amazing to me how people show His love to one another during this time and I'm so grateful.
Merry Christmas!
Julie
